Curriculum
Title I funding is provided for a number of our elementary schools. Title I is the largest federally funded supplemental education program. It does not replace what the school does; instead, it gives students additional instruction for those who are not meeting grade-level expectations in the areas of reading and/or math. School-wide assessments are administered to all students, and the data are used to determine students who qualify for extra help beyond Core instruction.

ELA (Tier I): CKLA
Amplify CKLA is a knowledge-rich, Science of Reading-based literacy curriculum that balances systematic foundational skills instruction with meaningful content learning. Rather than focusing solely on reading strategies, it develops literacy by helping students acquire the vocabulary and background knowledge they need to comprehend increasingly complex texts, making it a comprehensive approach to elementary literacy instruction.
Math (Tier I): Bridges
Bridges in Mathematics is a research-informed, student-centered elementary math curriculum that emphasizes conceptual understanding, problem solving, and mathematical discourse alongside procedural fluency. Through its integrated components—Problems & Investigations, Work Places, and Number Corner—students build a strong foundation in mathematics by exploring ideas, practicing skills in meaningful contexts, and developing confidence as mathematical thinkers.
Science: FOSS
FOSS is a research-based, inquiry-driven science curriculum that emphasizes learning science by doing science. Through hands-on investigations, evidence-based reasoning, and exploration of real-world phenomena, students develop scientific knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Its strong alignment with NGSS, comprehensive instructional resources, and focus on authentic scientific practices make it a widely adopted elementary science program that prepares students to think and act like scientists.
Intervention (Tier II and III): CKLA and UFLI
UFLI Foundations is a research-based, structured literacy intervention designed to accelerate reading achievement by strengthening the essential building blocks of reading. Through explicit instruction in phonemic awareness, phonics, decoding, spelling, and fluency, the program helps struggling readers develop the automatic word recognition skills necessary to become successful, confident readers. It is particularly effective as a Tier 2 or Tier 3 intervention because instruction is diagnostic, targeted, and responsive to individual student needs.
Math (Tier II and III): Bridges and Bridges Intervention
Bridges Intervention is a research-informed, targeted mathematics intervention program that helps elementary students strengthen foundational math skills through explicit instruction, hands-on learning, and ongoing assessment. By focusing on specific learning needs rather than grade-level content, it enables educators to provide timely, differentiated support that builds mathematical understanding, confidence, and fluency while complementing students' core mathematics instruction.
